Top Mounts

Mounts are used to offset the picture from the frame. You can change the border sizes to determine the distance from the frame to the picture. Mount borders expand around the picture, making the frame bigger.

  45mm borders

The bigger the mounts the bigger the frame will be. Everything expands around the size of your picture. We never change the picture size.

We cut your mounts 2.5mm per side smaller than you tell us to give some overlap to stop your picture falling through the mount opening.

About Mounts layers.

This is how many layers of mounts you select. You will see all of the top mount colour and a small reveal of the bottom mount colour. (A bit like holding a hand of playing cards)

1 mount layer     2 layers

The second layer mount is particularly effective as you can choose a colour to compliment your picture high light it in the frame without having too much of a strong colour overpowering your picture.
